How 'Kristine' isolated barangays in Agoncillo, Batangas

Residents of Agoncillo are facing a long road to recovery as they deal with damaged bridges and impassable roads in the aftermath of severe tropical storm Kristine. A landslide had cut through the Agoncillo-Laurel Road in Barangay Subic Ilaya, Agoncillo, Batangas, isolating residents from other barangays, such as Bilibinwang and Banyaga. Residents are leaving the area for safer ground, either via Taal Lake or by taking a long hike. Around 2,00 residents were evacuated from Bilibinwang and Banayaga in preparation for the possible impacts of Tropical Storm Leon, which is currently located 1,075 km East of Central Luzon.
