How could the next US president affect Singapore's economy?

According to a 2023 report by the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, there are 5,700 US firms operating in the city state. As of 2021, more than 190,000 people are working in American MNCs. Within ASEAN, Singapore accounted for almost 90% of foreign direct investments in the US. As for US investments in ASEAN, close to 86% of it is in Singapore. UOB head of research Suan Teck Kin and Mr Ang Yuit, president of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, discussed how the incoming US president could impact Singapore's economy.
