While Hamas and Israel's violent conflict has been covered by media from around the world for more than three months, both sides are attempting to control the narrative and influence the public opinion. Foreign journalists, including Israelis, cannot get into the Gaza Strip, so their news only comes from either the few local journalists still able to function, or from the Israeli army.
