How Hemet man's energy bill jump more than 50%, and how NBCLA helped him

A Hemet man reached out to the NBC4 I-Team after he saw his utility bill skyrocket. John Beckham, who is battling brain cancer, said he reached out to SoCal Edison about the charges but did not get answers. NBCLA’s I-Team stepped in to help. After the I-Team contacted SoCal Edison, it’s now refunding John what he overpaid -- some $600. SoCal Edison is also fixing his meter and has apologized that it took longer than it would like to resolve the matter. In the past 4 years, the I-Team has recovered more than $3 million for Southern California consumers.
