South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol briefly declared martial law on Tuesday (Dec 3), saying there was a need to "safeguard a liberal South Korea from the threats posed by North Korea's communist forces". Yoon is now facing unprecedented public anger and calls to resign or be impeached.
