We took a look back at B.C.’s first televised debate on Oct. 8, 1991. The Social Credit’s Rita Johnson was premier at the time and faced off against the NDP's Mike Harcourt and the Liberal Party's Gordon Wilson. We talk to Hamish Telford, a University of Fraser Valley political science professor, about Tuesday's B.C. leaders’ debate. We asked him whether leaders' debates still have the same value as they used to.
