How relief efforts are progressing in the Philippines after 6 tropical storms in a month

The Philippines was hit by six tropical storms this month alone, causing widespread damage, killing at least 171 people and displacing thousands. This year so far, the Southeast Asian nation has been struck by more than a dozen cyclones. Activists from the Philippines attending the United Nations-led climate summit COP29 highlighted that not enough is being done to address the problem. Gustavo Gonzalez, the UN’s Philippines Resident and humanitarian coordinator, gives CNA’s Asia Now an update on the progress of relief efforts.
