How to combat fear of flying amid recent airline incidents
Some air travellers may be feeling more nervous following recent incidents involving airlines, including the recent Alaska Airlines mishap when a door blew out while the plane was mid-air — despite it landing safely, without injuries. Fear of flying is not uncommon, with the U.S. National Institute on Mental Health reporting it impacts up to 6.5 per cent of that population though numbers suggest it could be even higher.
