Many hawkers in Singapore are still unwilling to switch to lower sodium salt and sauces, despite being engaged by authorities. The Health Promotion Board said its target now is to go down to all 110 hawker centres by mid-2025 to tell stalls about their options. Since July, it has started its rounds at about 60 hawker centres. But, CNA reporter Sabrina Ng found out that it's going to be an uphill task. Singapore plans to regulate sodium intake, which will soon include a scheme to label sauces, salt, instant noodles and cooking oil according to their sodium content.
