‘Huge empowering’ of unions under Labor government’s

Federal Manager of Opposition Business Paul Fletcher says there has been a “huge empowering” of unions under Labor both federally and in New South Wales. His comments come as the Rail, Tram and Bus Union threaten industrial action on New Year's Eve. Mr Fletcher said this was an example of “old style union activism” causing “enormous inconvenience across the community”. He says it would be “devastating” if travel to the fireworks would be disrupted.
