Hurricane Helene: Several US states underwater, strewn with debris as death toll rises

Several U.S. states including Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee were among those more heavily impacted after hurricane Helene blew through and left behind a wide trail of destruction. U.S. President Joe Biden said on Sunday “It really is amazing. You saw the photographs. It's stunning. Such a wide area. We’ve given them all everything that we have on the ground. So we're working hard.” “This is something that's going to require some patience. We haven't seen anything quite like this before, particularly in this part of the state. It's a devastating blow but we can make it through,” said South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster. North Carolina Gov.
