ICC accused of ‘flagrant violations’ of own rules with Netanyahu arrest warrant

Barrister and UKLFI Charitable Trust Legal Director Natasha Hausdorff has slammed the International Criminal Court for “flagrant violations” of its own rules in issuing an arrest warrant to Benjamin Netanyahu. The ICC has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defence minister Yoav Gallant. “The lack of jurisdiction that the court has to issue this arrest warrant, the flagrant violation of its own rules in not allowing Israel the opportunity to investigate and prosecute any credible allegations, and proceeding in these circumstances in a plainly political fashion throws a lot of the law out of the window,” Ms Hausdorff told Sky News Australia.
