Twenty Member States are focused on the digital agenda of CARICOM, including cybersecurity. Through the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), a meeting was held to fine-tune the digital resources, to develop Caribbean regional technologies for socio-economic development. Minister of Digital Transformation Hassel Bacchus said the challenges all countries face are similar. Minister Bacchus said development through ICT is not insular, and is being tackled through international collaboration. A new Embarkation and Disembarkation System is now being tested from Caribbean IMPACS. This will eliminate the need for paper based travel forms. He assured that this will benefit the country with very little cost.
