IGAD Launches Regional Refugee Engagement Forum.

The Intergovernmental Authority on Development has launched the Regional Refugee Engagement Forum in Kampala, an initiative aimed at enhancing refugee participation in policy-making and development across the IGAD region. Fathia Alwan, IGAD’s Director of Health and Social Development, emphasized the region’s commitment to inclusivity and resilience, noting that IGAD countries host some of the world’s largest refugee populations.
