Immigration dominates German election as SPD struggles; CDU and AfD present diverging policies
Two of Germany's main parties are making immigration the focus of their election campaigns. With the vote just six weeks away, the far-right Alternative for Germany and the centre-right Christian Democrats have said the number of people who have come to Germany is too high and needs to be reduced.
