In 2023, 23,608 road accidents were recorded in Uganda
The government is calling for more action to limit the number of people maimed or killed in road crashes every year. The call came as the country commemorated World Accident Victims and Survivors' day - a day dedicated to the memory of those who sustained injuries or died in road carnage. In 2023, there were 23,608 reported road crashes across the country. Of these, 4,179 were fatal, 12,487 were serious. This year alone over 3,000 people have already lost their lives in road crashes, prompting Works Minister Gen Katumba Wamala to call for action. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
