Incoming Gulu Archbishop to lead Nebbi Diocese pilgrims for Martyrs' Day
When it was first announced that Nebbi Diocese would host this year’s Uganda Martyrs' Day celebrations, many thoughts immediately went to Bishop Raphael p’Mony Wokorach leading the way to Namugongo. However, this year, when he leads the pilgrims from Nebbi Diocese, it may also be his last time as prelate of Nebbi. That is because Pope Francis has appointed him as the incoming Archbishop of Gulu, and his installation is due later this year. For now, he is focused on plans for Uganda Martyrs' Day in Namugongo, scheduled for June 3, 2024.
