Sky News host Rita Panahi says “inconvenient facts are disinformation to the left”. Her remarks come as the Liberal Coalition confirmed it would oppose the Albanese Labor government’s misinformation bill if elected. “The so-called fact-checking units at universities or segments of the media – it is just activists masquerading as fact checkers,” Ms Panahi said. “What they see as harmful, what they see as unhelpful to their leftist cause is disinformation, misinformation.”
