Pakistan's Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a lifeline and a game changer for the country. Speaking exclusively to India Today TV on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Islamabad, Tarar said that CPEC is the vision of Chinese President Xi Jinping which has been fully implemented in Pakistan. Earlier, during the SCO meeting, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar indirectly referred to CPEC and said that cooperation should be based on mutual respect and sovereign equality, with territorial integrity and sovereignty being recognised.
