India votes: Supreme Court dismisses requests to verify electronic votes via paper trail

Eighty-eight constituencies spread over 13 states and union territories are balloting in the second phase of India's staggered general election. All eyes are on the southern states of Kerala and Karnataka - two areas crucial for the Bharatiya Janata Party to achieve its goal of securing a two-thirds majority in Parliament.
