Indian farmers plan to march to New Delhi

Farmers in India are planning to expand their protest, with calls by union leaders for them to march to capital New Delhi on Wednesday (Mar 6). This will not be their first attempt. Farmers in the state of Punjab have been protesting for a month, and tried to get to the capital before, but were stopped by police and paramilitary forces at the border. Those involved are demanding better prices for their crops but several rounds of talks with the government have failed.
