Indian PM Modi claims victory for his alliance despite BJP losing majority

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed victory in India's mammoth general election. Modi declared the results a 'victory for democracy', despite result indicating his party the BJP, will lose its outright majority. The Indian government has failed to give visas to Al Jazeera’s correspondents to cover this story. So, we're reporting on this election from outside the country.
