Inflation ‘outstrips’ wages as Australians struggle with cost-of-living

Sky News host Peta Credlin says the latest wage price index figures show wages rising 0.8 per cent as inflation increases by one per cent in headline CPI. “Figures out today show over the past three months, your wages are not keeping up with inflation,” Ms Credlin said. “The numbers today confirm wages have gone up by 0.8 per cent … outstripped by inflation with its one per cent increase in headline CPI.”
