‘Insulting’: Treasurer makes new RBA board appointments about gender

Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger claims it is “insulting” for Treasurer Jim Chalmers to make the new RBA board appointments about gender. “Well, no one wants to be told they are on the Reserve Bank board possibly because they are a woman – it is insulting to those women who have excellent outstanding careers,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host James Macpherson. “It’s just insulting – someone should tell this bloke [Jim Chalmers] we are over all this nonsense.”
