Insurance concerns for flooded Victorian towns

Residents in Northern and Central Victoria remain on alert despite the floods easing in some parts of the state. As some towns begin to clean up for the second time in two years, there are concerns about a likely rise in insurance premiums. It comes as some insurance companies increased premiums by thousands of dollars in the wake of the 2022 floods. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is set to travel from Far North Queensland to Central Victoria on Wednesday afternoon. Mr Albanese will visit the towns impacted by the recent floodwaters.
