Interior CS reveals that influential government officials financed the Gen Z protests

Interior cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki has revealed that influential government officials financed the Gen Z protests, which resulted in the burning of part of parliament. Before the national assembly committee on administration and internal security, Kindiki disclosed that the directorate of criminal investigations (DCI) would soon charge those involved. Addressing concerns over police brutality, the CS defended the force used, stating it was necessary to prevent an attempted coup.
