International Girls’ Day - Organizations, communities encouraged to front girl child empowerment

Minister of state for Youth and Children affairs Balaamu Barugahara has encouraged organizations and communities to put more focus on empowering the girl child. Minister Baalamu was officiating at the girls’ champion awards that are meant to recognize girls who have used available resources and opportunities to elevate their lives but also making a difference in their communities.
