Three students are today enjoying the fruits of their labour. This after being adjudged winners of the first Polo Shirt Design Competition put on by the National NCD Commission Barbados. Out of a total of 40 entries from 20 public and private schools, University of the West Indies student Akebulan Thuo won the top prize. Second place went to Brooklyn Mascoll of St. Alban's Primary, while Hayley Scott of the Christ Church Foundation School copped third place. Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Wellness Davidson Ishmael says exciting initiatives such as these bridge a gap between a serious topic and the youthful future. Minister Ishmael says this will not be the last such initiative and there will be more going forward.
