The distribution of iron sheets has officially commenced in the Karamoja sub-region, with Abim being the first district to benefit. The State Minister for Minerals, Peter Lokeris, presided over the event and issued a stern warning to beneficiaries against selling the relief materials, emphasizing that such actions would lead to arrest. This community empowerment program is in line with a presidential directive aimed at enhancing livelihoods, particularly for the reformed warriors in the Karamoja sub-region.
