ISA restriction orders issued to 2 Singaporeans radicalised due to Israel-Hamas conflict
Two Singaporeans - a 14-year old boy and a 33-year-old woman - were issued restriction orders under the Internal Security Act (ISA), the Internal Security Department said on Monday (Jul 15). The boy is the youngest person to be issued an ISA order to date and the woman was a former civil servant. Speaking to the media on Monday, Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam added that action was taken against the duo not for their support of the Palestinian cause but for supporting terrorism and armed violence.
