At least 17 Palestinians, including children, were killed on Thursday in an Israeli strike on a former school that sheltered displaced people in central Gaza’s Nuseirat camp, according to Al-Awda Hospital officials. The Israeli military said it had hit a Hamas command and control centre embedded in the compound. In the northern section of the enclave, where the area around the town of Jabalia has been the target of a weeks-long operation, the Israeli military said it had evacuated large numbers of people and detained more than 200 suspected militants. Palestinian officials in a hospital said they've been under a complete siege for 18 days and are running out of blood bags and medicine. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a visit to Qatar, as U.S and Israeli negotiators prepare to gather in Doha to restart talks towards a ceasefire and hostage deal. Meanwhile, the leader of the Palestinian National Authority joined world leaders at the BRICS summit in Russia, and more than 70 nations gathered in Paris to express support for Lebanon.
