Israel-Gaza: Palestinians dig mass grave inside Khan Younis hospital grounds
WARNING: Video contains disturbing content. Discretion is advised. Faced with the lack of a safe passage for proper burials, Palestinians in Khan Younis dug a mass grave in the yards of the Nasser medical complex on Jan. 28. The bodies, which were in the hospital's mortuary, had started to decompose, emitting an odour, according to the head of Nasser Hospital, Nahidh Abu Tamiya. "They were all buried because their families couldn't be here and their bodies started to decompose and give off an odour, so that's why we buried them in the yard of the hospital, even though we have repeatedly requested safe passage so we can bury them in a proper place, which is only 200 metres away," he said. More than 26,000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 65,000 wounded, according to Gaza's Hamas-run health authority.
