A ceasefire deal to stop the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah took effect on Wednesday (Nov 27). The 60-day truce puts a stop to more than a year of hostilities. United States President Joe Biden, who announced the agreement, said it is intended to be a permanent end to the conflict. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the Israeli army will not hesitate to strike again if Hezbollah threatens Israel.
