Israel pounds Lebanon as US says Hezbollah truce deal is ‘close’
The war between Hezbollah and Israel has resulted in over 3,000 deaths and widespread destruction. However, there is hope for a ceasefire. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller mentioned significant progress towards a resolution, though nothing is final.
