Israel’s bombing campaign in Syria likely to be temporary: Analysis

Israel says it has carried out hundreds of air strikes across Syria since Sunday. Stockpiles of strategic weapons and two naval facilities were among the latest targets. The UN envoy to Syria has called on Israel to stop the bombings. Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports from the Lebanon-Syria border. Harlan Ullman, a senior adviser at the Atlantic Council, believes Israel does not have the capacity to take additional land in Syria and that its attacks on the country are likely to subside in the coming days.
