Israeli airstrike on Syria reportedly kills at least 16, injures nearly 40

There have been more attacks and reprisals in the Middle East, with Syrian officials saying an Israeli airstrike killed around 20 people and injured nearly 40. In the West Bank, a funeral was held for a Turkish-American who was protesting and killed by Israeli snipers, according to witnesses. Meanwhile, three medics in Lebanon were reportedly killed by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) airstrikes and an Israeli man killed by a Jordanian at a key border crossing was laid to rest. As pressure in the region continues to build, there’s been no apparent progress towards a ceasefire. Recently-released Israeli army footage shows the offensive continues, and the Gaza health ministry says nearly 41,000 have been killed.
