Israeli army names 3 soldiers killed in Gaza’s Rafah, raising questions about war's strategy
The Israeli army has named the soldiers killed in Gaza: Staff Sergeant Amir Galilove, aged 20, Staff Sergeant Uri Bar Or, aged 21, and Staff Sergeant Ido Appel, also aged 21. They were killed by an explosive device in Rafah, which also wounded three other soldiers. Additionally, two soldiers were severely wounded in northern Gaza and another was injured in southern Gaza this morning. This highlights the intensity of the ground fighting. Each soldier's death increases pressure on the Israeli government to seek a ceasefire or agreement to secure the release of hostages. While there is significant support for the war within mainstream Israeli society, even hardline supporters are starting to question the ultimate goal of this conflict.
