Israeli bombing in Gaza’s Beit Lahiya leaves many dead, with hopes of finding survivors dwindling
In Gaza’s northern city of Beit Lahiya, Israeli bombings have left a multi-story building in ruins, with hopes of finding survivors dwindling. Civil defence crews and medics have been prevented from entering the besieged area for over 40 days. The Israeli forces aim to root out Hamas fighters, but the devastation spans the Gaza Strip, including central refugee camps. Civilians question the targeting of peaceful homes and suffer repeated displacement due to continuous bombardment. Families flee with minimal possessions, struggling to find safety amidst ongoing strikes. Al Jazeera’s Lina Abu Akleh reports.
