Israeli media's coverage of Gaza conflict is governed by a number of strict rules

The Netanyahu government has come out with a list of dos and don’ts for journalists covering its war on Gaza. The document is available on the government’s website. Akiva Eldar, a columnist with the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, says he’s worried about newly implemented media rules on how to report the war on Gaza. “The footage the Israelis saw on October 7 and since then the stories of the captives, it turned the journalists from doing honest, balanced reporting into Israeli patriots. The only way you can get into Gaza and to see and report and offer footage is to follow the military spokesperson to where he wants them to go,” Eldar told Al Jazeera. “Until today, I haven’t seen any Israeli network interview a Palestinian woman, child or old people in the camps. And the reason is this isn’t what the customers want to see. And the media doesn’t want to antagonize their clients.” Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/AJEnglish Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/aljazeera Check our website: https://www.aljazeera.com/ Check out our Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/aljazeeraenglish/ Download AJE Mobile App: https://aje.io/AJEMobile #Israel #BenjaminNetanyahu #Netanyahu #IsraelMediaCensorship #Palestine #Gaza #GazaAirRaids #GazaAirStrikes #GazaUnderAttack #GazaHumanitarianCrisis #IsraelHamasWar #GazaWar #IsraelWar #IsraelPalestineWar #IsraelGazaWar #GazaBombardment
