It's train vs. tank in dramatic railroad collision

A train slammed into a semi truck carrying a tank after a driver got stuck attempting to maneuver around a level crossing in Goose Creek, South Carolina, on September 12. The Goose Creek Police Department said the truck had what they referred to as a “low boy” trailer and was carrying a military vehicle when it got stuck at the crossing at around 12:30 pm. An oncoming CSX train then collided with the truck and damaged the level crossing, police said. Video captured by Kayla Shepherd shows the driver of the truck flee from the crossing moments before the train strikes the vehicle. There were no injuries reported, and the driver of the truck refused treatment, reports said. Local news identified the military vehicle as an M109 howitzer.
