‘It didn’t sound real’: Witness gives account of Bondi Junction stabbings

A Bondi Junction shopper has given NSW Political Reporter Julia Bradley her account of the panic which followed a violent and fatal incident inside the precinct. Police confirmed five people have been killed and a further number have been conveyed to hospital after a man brandished a knife inside the Westfield. “We heard a lady screaming and she was saying, ‘Help me! Help me!’,” the witness told Sky News. “Someone said, ‘Oh someone has been stabbed’ but at that point, it didn’t sound real. “We saw cops running and after that, we heard around four gunshots and as soon as the gunshots went off, everyone just ran into the shops.”
