Jaclyn Symes to be sworn in as Victoria's treasurer

Jaclyn Symes will be sworn in as Victoria's first female Treasurer today. Labor sources have confirmed to Sky News she beat out a number of candidates including Public Transport Minister Gabrielle Williams and Assistant Treasurer Danny Pearson. It follows the retirement of current Treasurer Tim Pallas earlier this week. It's also understood Premier Jacinta Allan could unveil a cabinet reshuffle to coincide with Ms Symes' promotion.
