The 147th edition of the annual Rath Yatra of Jagannath began early on Sunday in Ahmedabad where lakhs of devotees thronged. Following a centuries-old tradition, the vibrant procession commenced around 7 am. Led by ornately decorated chariots, it departed from the historic 400-year-old Jagannath Temple in Jamalpur.
