Jamaica optimistic about direct flights to B'dos
Tourism officials in Jamaica are just as upbeat as their counterparts in Barbados following the launch of a non-stop direct flight by InterCaribbean Airways connecting the caribbean countries. The flight on Wednesday was described as a missing link for direct travel between Bridgetown and Kingston. Director of Tourism at the Jamaica Tourist Board, Donovan White, has expressed his optimism for the future of the new flight out of Barbados. InterCaribbean Airways will operate weekly non-stop flights between Bridgetown and Kingston on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with return flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Regional Director of the Jamaica Tourist Board, Odette Soberam Dyer says the flight is a testament of the confidence the airline partners have in the destination.
