Actor Jamal Truelove was wrongfully convicted of murder in 2010 and sentenced to 50 years in prison with Kamala Harris, who was the District Attorney for San Francisco at the time, securing the conviction. In 2015, he was acquitted and also awarded $14.5 million after it was determined that the two lead detectives violated his civil rights. Mr Truelove joined Sky News host Erin Molan to discuss the “daunting” experience. The actor also opened up about how Ms Harris “laughed in celebration” at his conviction. “Kamala never apologised, and the reason why she wouldn’t [is] because she still feels like I got away with murder,” Mr Truelove said.
