Joe Biden accused of trying to ‘hide’ audio recordings

The White House has blocked the release of audio recordings of President Biden’s interviews from the investigation into his handling of classified documents. Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report famously described the President as a "well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory". Attorney General Merrick Garland advised President Biden the audio falls within the scope of executive privilege. Congressional Republicans are fighting to gain access to the audio recordings. James Comer said Biden and his advisers "fear" the release of the recordings because it will “reaffirm to the American people that President Biden's mental state is in decline".
