Joe Biden’s clemency spree ‘stinks to high heaven’
Sky News contributor Kosha Gada says the scale of US President Joe Biden's pardons "stinks to high heaven". United States President Joe Biden has commuted the sentences of nearly 1,500 people and pardoned 39 Americans who were convicted of non-violent crimes. "The president's power is unilateral – whether we like it or not – it is unilaterally his prerogative to do," Ms Gada told Sky News host James Macpherson. "What does it mean if you take it to its logical endpoint? It either means that there are all these people ... who are oversentenced or overprosecuted and so what is wrong with the criminal justice system if that's true? "Or there are all these people who actually have committed crime and he is paving the way by doing these early ones ... who is coming? Is it Fauci? Is it his brother? Is it himself?"
