Joe Biden tried to ‘appease’ the Iranian regime

Former British commander Richard Kemp has hit out at former US president Joe Biden for being “soft” on the Houthis and for trying to “appease” the Iranian regime. President Donald Trump has announced that the United States has undertaken attacks on Houthi rebel targets in Yemen. “It’s not only overdue in the Trump administration, but it’s been overdue ever since October 2023 when this campaign by the Houthis began against shipping in the Red Sea,” Mr Kemp told Sky News Australia. “President Biden, as he was in the United States, basically was soft on it because he was trying to appease the Houthis’ masters in Tehran. “There’s been this very weak approach to totalitarianism, including as it affects the West.”
