Joe Biden urged to resign to make Kamala Harris president
Former communications director for the US vice president Jamal Simmons has called on Joe Biden to resign within the next 30 days to allow Kamala Harris to become president. During his appearance on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, Simmons suggested making Kamala Harris the president as a transitional figure. The move, he said, would allow Harris to assume the presidency before January, making her the first female president of the United States. "He could resign the presidency in the next 30 days, make Kamala Harris president of the United States," Simmons said on the air. “It would dominate the news at a point where Democrats have to learn drama and transparency and doing things that the public wanna see is the time. “This is the moment for us to change the entire perspective of how Democrats operate.”
