Liberal MP Zoe McKenzie says Julian Assange was “deprived of his liberty” for “long enough”. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has returned to Australia as a free man after pleading guilty to espionage in a plea deal to secure his release. “We all agree, across the entire parliament, he has served long enough, deprived of his liberty and deprived of his family, so I think we’re all glad to see him home,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News Australia.
